Today is the first day after Mid semester is done, and today we are entering a new rotation material. Today's rotation menu is the rotation menu II.1 the food made is chinese food. There are several types of food that are familiar to make, because when the dominant casual food made is Chinese food.
Chinese food is a type of food that is commonly found in Indonesia, especially in wedding banquet events at hotelm, but the type of chinese food that is made is fast cook or foods that are processed quickly and do not require too long. It is possible that there is also Chinese food with the slow cook method, but it is rarely used at wedding or banquet events.
Today there are a few obstacles due to negligence of some individuals, negligence which has a big impact on the people. We should have prepared for the rotation menu II.1, because of these constraints we had to delay making preparations until all materials were finished to be checked.
After all the materials have been checked, we also continue preparation activities. My group got an appetizer menu, namely Chinese Spinach and Peanut Salad, this menu is quite easy because the ingredients and processing methods are very few and the ingredients are relatively simple. Because the day is just to prepare so we only finish the dressing, garnish and spinach.
Then we also help other groups whose preparation process has not been completed, especially in the main course section. Chinese food is classified as a complicated but tasty food, because Chinese food contains a lot of spices and other food ingredients that make the aroma and taste of the food very tasty.
while the floor are getting dry, we went back to our rest place. When the floor is dry we can back again to check everybody is at work / check the attendance list. Later on we wait the advice from Mr. Ical which is followed by preparing the class for the daily pray session. To finish our day we go back home.
RECEIPE :
1. Chinese spinach and peanut salad
Ingredients :
500 gr spinach, tough ends removed
1 cup raw peanuts
1 tbsp peanut oil or vegetable oil
2 tbsp chinese black vinegar
1 tsp light soy sauce
2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp minced ginger (optional) roasted white sesame seeds for decoration
procedure :
1. bring a large pot of waterto a boil. Add spinach and cook over medium heat until cooked through, about 2 minutes. Drain spinach and set aside to cool.
2. Add oil and peanuts to a wok. Heat over medim heat and stir with a spatula continously, untill the skin of the peanuts turn dark brown and the edges tun golden brown. Turn off heat immediately and transfer peanuts to a plate to cool.
3. combine black vinnegar, light soy sauce, sugar, and salt in a small bowl, mix well and set aside.
4. when spinach is cool enough to handle, squeezze extra water out it with both hands. chop spinach into pieces about 8 centimeters in length and transfer to several small serving bowls.
5. right before serving, top spinach with peanuts and drizzle with vinnegar sauce. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve immediately.
